It has a hostel-restaurant, a restaurant, a wine shop and a shop specializing in the sale of olive oils and other agri-food products.
Of note is the Carthusian Monastery of Santa Maria d’Scala Dei, the main monument in the region, belonging to the Museum of the History of Catalonia. The Carthusian Monastery was founded in the 12th century by Alfonso the Chaste, and was the first in the Iberian Peninsula. The prior and his domains were the ones who gave name to what is called the historic Priory and later to the whole region. With successive extensions since its foundation, it was finally abandoned in 1835 due to the seclusion and confiscation of Mendizábal. It is highly recommended to visit a rebuilt cell, which allows you to clearly see the way of life of this community. During the visit you can also see an audiovisual about the history of the place and some models that faithfully reproduce how it was before and what this religious site is like now.
